A long day comes to an end

Today we started the day at 6:00 A.M.   Need I emphasize that we were up at this time on a Sunday!    While at the hotel I checked on our flight status which showed it was on schedule.  So we arrive at the airport for our morning flight only to be informed it has been cancelled.   We then get moved to another line and have to wait one hour to get explained that we are on a 4:00 P.M. flight back to Denver. However, we're told that we are on a standby list for a 12:00 flight with 80 other people.   As the standby list comes up on the monitor we see that we're #29 with only 12 seats remaining.   Somehow we got on the plane and am now writing this from home.  It has been a long day and am glad to be relaxing.   I really need some R&R as this coming week is going to be very busy.
