Today I met the team that will be part of my new assignment. Being in a sourcing role is taking me into a completely different area of the Energy business. It's a different experience to see the market from a manufacturing perspective instead of solely commercial. It will be interesting to see how this assignment changes my view of manufacturing.
Today Tanya, Valentina and I went to the Bucktown Arts Festival. This was our first outing in Chicago as residents. It was cool to see this festival as it had plays, poetry readings and all sorts of other entertainment. It was not your traditional Arts festival. It was also great to see the diverse mix of people that live in the city. Toto were not in Colorado anymore.

The family and I arrived last Monday (22) to Chicago. Tanya's sister, Monica, also flew in that day from Mexico. It was really great having her with us in Chicago. I hope that she returns for another visit very soon. I felt bad that we did not do a lot of sightseeing due to the move. We did try to make the best of the situation and show her the highlights of Chicago during her stay.
I begin my first CLS assignment this coming Monday (29).

I was lucky enough to spend a few great days in my hometown, Salt Lake City. I loved being back with my family and friends. There is nothing better in life than spending time with them. I hope to see them all again very soon.
