Weekend fun

On Friday I took the family to the Field Museum.   Becoming members at this museum was the best decision we've made here in Chicago.   It has more than paid for itself and we never seem to get tired of visiting it.

We then came home and watched the movie 50/50.   Tanya and I both enjoyed the movie.   The movie touched on a difficult subject but I thought they did a nice job making it funny and dramatic.

On Saturday we went to meet with the Yang's at one of our favorite restaurants Bistro Margot.   This place has the best brunch and burger.   This time I had the burger and Tanya had mussels.   Tanya said it was one the best oyster meals she has ever had.   We then walked around a bit throught the Old Town Arts Festival.   But an expiring meter and hot sun made us leave early.   We came back home to rest before venturing out to the local park by our house.

On Sunday we went out to eat at the Himalayan Indian restaurant.   This place has become one of our favorite lunch spots.   But we came at the end of the buffet and not much food was left.  This experience left us not wanting to go back for a while or at least not as the buffet is closing.   We then did our grocery shopping at Whole Foods, Lindo Michoacan and the local Walmart.

Afterwards we came home and rested for the rest of the evening.   It was another great weekend.
