Week of Parental leave

This year GE started a new benefit that gives new parents some time off.  I took full advantage of this and am now spending the week with the family.

The week started by taking Valentina and Naty to the Field Museum.   This was great since Valentina could get out of the house for a while.   The following day Tanya and I had breakfast with Kyle O'Connor and his wife.   This was a nice thing to do since we were out without kids for a change.   And having breakfast at Bistro Margot was an added plus!

On Sunday we had the Spamer family over to present them to Daniel.   It was also nice to see Valentina getting along so well with Cecy and Sophie.

On Monday I took Tanya and Naty to the Comales.  Naty said she does not miss Mexican food since she finds it right here in Chicago.  I think that this was the ultimate compliment for this city!   Later I went to get a haircut and get an oil change for the car.   It was a nice productive day.
