Very relaxing Sunday

Today the Family and I ate at Thai Orchids.   This place serves up some great food and always offers me the delivery driver job.   I'm not sure if I should be thankful for the job offer or be offended?   Then I got the pass to go see Cowboys and Aliens.    This is one of the dumbest movies I've seen in a long time.   It is an interesting concept but way too out there for me.    New week begins tomorrow and hope to end it in Chicago.

Denver County Fair

Today I took la familia to eat at Carboncitos and then went to visit the Denver County Fair.   The food at Carboncitos was, as usual, very good.    The Denver County Fair was indoors which made this event enjoyable.   It was so hot today that walking outside was almost unbearable.   Two more months until we get great Fall weather.

Lazy week

Not a lot happened the week of July 25 in terms of activities.    But I did confirm my first assignment for the CLS program.   I will be working in a sourcing & operations role within a GE Digital Energy plant in Chicago.   I'm very excited to be returning to one the best cities in the world.   I just hope the transition goes smoothly.

Dad and Mom leave for Salt Lake

It was a good visit from my parents and hopefully they enjoyed their time here in Denver.    I hope to see them soon.   Now I'm focused on finding an assignment and get that finalized this week.

Relaxing Sunday

It was a good day today with the family.   We started off by having my Mom cook us all some breakfast.   It was great having some home cooking from Mom.   Then we went to Mass at St. Mary's.   After Mass we had lunch at one of our favorite places, Proto's pizza.   We walked around a bit afterwards and saw how people in Denver cool off in the summer.   Tanya and I then went to see the final installment of Harry Potter.   It was sad to see the end of this great movie series.   Now what do I have to look forward to in 2012?  Well here is a hint.

Steamboat Springs & Tri-state Golf Tournament

This weekend the family and I went to Steamboat Springs.   We enjoyed the day walking around the city and doing some shopping.   We then capped it off with a great dinner at the Ore House.    This morning I attended a golf tournament in Craig, CO with GE and Tri-state.   It was a great time!  I'm home now but am very, very tired.

Lunch with Annie-Laurie and picking up the folks

Today I met with my old friend Annie Laurie.    We had some great burgers at Ted's Montana Grill.   It was great catching up with her today on old and new times.    I then went over to the airport to pick up my parents with Tanya and Valentina.    It will be good to spend some time with the folks.

Good day

Today I went to lunch with Jim Egan, Pasty Lavandari and Ron Bisbee.   It was good to see the friends I made at Tri-state Generation.  Afterwards Jim Egan and I went to hit the golf ball for another good afternoon on the links. I then took Valentina out for her tumbling class. Now I'm getting ready for my parent's visit to Denver.

Lunch with T-bills and golf

Today T-bills and I went to Chipotle to discuss what is currently happening in our lives.    It is good to have these chats with T-bills who always has a way of putting things in perspective and making me think deeper into things.    Then I left him at work and had a great day at the Kennedy golf course.   I play here so much that I added a song to this post in its honor.   Then I came home to support Peru in the Americas Cup with Valentina.   It was a good day.
